The London Conference was a conference created by European countries to stabilize the currency nationally. It hoped to solve the economic problems in America and Europe.
2) What were the Neutrality Acts of 1935, 1936, and 1937? And what were their effects? Pg 805
The Neutrality Acts of 1935,1936,1937 were created to keep America out of the war. It stated that any American could not sell weapons to any belligerent in World War 2. It's effects varied with each country. It did not necessarily succeed in the long run. Many isolationists were happy that it was passed because a majority of Americans were against the war. They wanted to stay isolated.

The neutrality acts lead to the sucess of the rebels and the death of the loyalist control in Spain. America could not help the loyalist cause because of the neutrality acts and the rebels, leaded by Francisco Franco, was aided by the Nazis and Mussolini. The Loyalists were only aided by the Russians but they failed. 4) What were the Committee to Defend America by Aiding the Allies and the America First Committee examples of? P 812
They were examples of organizations who were against the war, or isolationists. Linberg was one of the main supporters of isolationism.

It was a phrase used against Willikie during the election of 1940. People who attacked FDR for going for a 3rd term were in turn attacked by FDR's followers with this quote. Willikie was not very experienced in politics so this phrase was used to to degrade him.

The arsenal of Democracy was the idea that it was the moral obligation of Americans to spread the democracy to all countries and to protect democratic nations who were in danger.

The Atlantic Charter was a charter between Churchill and FDR during their meetings in the Atlantic Ocean. This pact was very similar to Wilson's 14 points. It supported self determination, disarmament and a organization similar to the League of Nations.
