1) What were the reasons that led the USA to getting involved in Greece and Turkey?
England could not economically support protecting Greece and Turkey from the threats of Communism so they begged America to come in a help Greece and Turkey. The responsibility moved over to America.
2) What is the Domino Theory and how does it relate to this circumstance?
The Domino theory is that if one country falls to communism, all other contiguous countries will fall as well. This idea made Americans even more interested in helping to protect Greece and Turkey.

The Truman Doctrine started America's need to protect "weaker" countries from the threats of communism. America wanted to protect free peoples from being subjugated by armed minorities or by outside pressures.
